To honour World Book Day, we asked our readers to send in photographs of the costumes their children and relatives wore for the special event.
The charity event is held annually in the UK and Ireland on the first Thursday in March and we include a huge selection of images from around the county including some from Dunbeath primary school.
A spokesperson for the school said: "All pupils in the school were given a T-shirt to decorate with their favourite book cover or character. We were delighted with the efforts that all pupils went to. We had a lovely day sharing our favourite books and completing book related activities."
On World Book Day, every child in full-time education in the UK and the Republic of Ireland is provided with a voucher to be spent on books; the event was first celebrated in the United Kingdom in 1998.
