Caithness Ladies drop to third after defeat to Ross County

Caithness Ladies tasted defeat for the first time this season in the SWF Highlands and Islands League when they were beaten 4-2 by newcomers Ross County at Alness.

Sunday's result leaves Caithness third in the table after three games, with County moving up to second.

Carly Erridge and Donna Majilton were the Caithness scorers, with County's goals coming from Maimie Zimmerman, Agnes Hooper (2) and Mollie Parker.

Sutherland, top of the table with maximum points, were 5-0 winners over Clachnacuddin.

Caithness began the season with a 7-2 victory over Ross and Cromarty in Thurso before beating Clachnacuddin 4-1 in Inverness.

Caithness Ladies' opening tie in the group stages of the Highlands and Islands League Cup will be against Orkney on Sunday, April 14, in Castletown.
