Emergency services attended a property in Wick on Christmas Eve with fire crews and ambulance joining forces.

Police officers were not reported to be in attendance and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said that it was “not a house fire” but would provide no further details.

An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.53pm on Tuesday, 24 December, to assist emergency service partner on Vansittart Street, Wick.

“Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance where firefighters worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene at around 3.16pm.”
