Beaver Scout leader given fond farewell after 20 years of service at Caithness groups

A long-serving member of the Beaver Scouts has been given a fond farewell as leader after she stepped down from her role following 20 years of service.

Beaver Scouts at the 2nd Thurso and Reay Colonies held a special party in commemoration of their Beaver Leader at 2nd Thurso Colony, Deborah Lafferty, after she stepped down from her role.

Deborah who is known as “Beaver” at 2nd Thurso Colony also helps at Reay Beavers.

Deborah is pictured with other Beaver Leaders Sandra Carson and Ian Pearson. At Reay the Scout Commissioner for Caithness and Sutherland, Gary Stronach, attended. Deborah was presented with a glass Beaver and a bouquet of flowers in recognition of her service.
