Caithness man denies harassing woman from Orkney
A Caithness man has denied harassing an Orkney woman over the course of a fortnight last year.
Stewart Ganson pleaded not guilty at Kirkwall Sheriff Court on Wednesday to causing the woman fear and alarm through his alleged course of conduct.
The charge alleges that the 57-year-old repeatedly contacted her via phone and WhatsApp messages despite being asked not to do so.
He is accused of pressurising her to spend time with him, telling her that he loved her and sending her an unwanted gift of flowers.
The charge further claims he turned up at her workplace in Kirkwall uninvited.

The conduct is said to have been carried out between April 1 and 14 last year.
Ganson, of Occumster, had his trial set for June 6.
His bail includes a special condition that he does not contact or try to contact the woman in the meantime.
