The charge alleges that the 57-year-old repeatedly contacted her via phone and WhatsApp messages despite being asked not to do so.

He is accused of pressurising her to spend time with him, telling her that he loved her and sending her an unwanted gift of flowers.

The charge further claims he turned up at her workplace in Kirkwall uninvited.

The conduct is said to have been carried out between April 1 and 14 last year.

Ganson, of Occumster, had his trial set for June 6.
