Police who raided James Snowdon's home in Thurso found a stash of cannabis with a street value of £1100, Wick Sheriff Court heard.
The 34-year-old was said to be a heavy user who bought his supplies in bulk, two months at a time, and shared it with friends at a nominal rate.
Snowdon, of Henderson Street, Ormlie, admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class B drug and was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid community work while under supervision as a direct alternative to a prison sentence.
