Dunbeath Writing Group’s new book is filled with murder, mystery and comedy
A new paperback has just come out from the Dunbeath Writing Group (DWG) called ‘A Great Vintage and Other Stories’.
Published independently yesterday (June 24) the 224-page paperback is priced £9.99 and is available to purchase on Amazon.
DWG came together to share its love of writing and, at the same time, to raise funds for the Dunbeath and District Centre which is a health and wellbeing centre in Dunbeath.
In a synopsis of the book, the DWG states: “The writers come from all over the UK but have retired to Caithness to enjoy the big skies, the clean air and the supportive community.
“Their short stories reflect their wide experience and enjoyment of life with all of its ups and downs.”
A local critic said: “It is an anthology of some amazing stories from writers, Patricia Heath, Maureen O’Neil, Mike Coupland, Hilly Stokes and Graham Finn.
“The five ‘vintage writers’ have some great stories full of murder, mystery, comedy and a lot more. All royalties from any sales go to the centre.”
