Far north heart group donates new ECG machine to Caithness General Hospital

A new heart monitoring machine was handed over to medical staff at Caithness General Hospital this week thanks to local fundraisers.

The ECG machine was funded by Caithness Heart Support Group.

It was handed over on Tuesday to senior charge nurse Alison Geddes by group representatives Emily Fraser and Marge Donaldson.

The group, which raises money for equipment for the hospital and GP practices throughout Caithness, is due to hold its 25th AGM at the Norseman Hotel, Wick, at 7.30pm, on Tuesday, May16. Guest speaker is Ann Ross, of Swallow Glass Studio, who will give a video presentation entitled "A Story of Glass".
