Full ringside at Caithness Livestock Centre for ‘fantastic’ store cattle sale
Quoybrae, Aberdeen and Northern Marts, on Monday sold 332 store cattle.
Bullocks (170) averaged 468.7p per kg and sold to 593.1p per kg for a 317kg Limousin Cross from Boulintogle, Scotscalder and £2900 gross for a 748kg Charolais Cross from Brae Edge, Castletown.
Aberdeen Angus Bullocks (16) averaged 455.8p per kg and sold to 467.7p per kg for a pen of 402kgs and sold to £1940 for a pen of 421kg from Thuster Mains, Bilbster.
Heifers (128) averaged 453.7p per kg and sold to 554.9per kg for a pen of 364kg Simmentals from Ha, Durran and sold to £2360 for a 564kg Simmental Cross from Roadside, Kirk.
Aberdeen Angus Heifers (18) averaged 423.2p to 451.9p per kg for a pen of 343kg from the Ha, Castletown and sold to £1700 for a 397kg from Bardnaclavan Farm, Bridge of Westfield.
