Caithness Vintage Tractor and Machinery Club’s annual ploughing match takes place on Saturday.

The venue this year is Knockdee Farm, Stemster, Halkirk, by permission of D & C Coghill, and organisers are hoping for good weather.

There are 25 entries altogether across drag, mounted and classic classes.

The draw for lots will be at 10.30am, with the competition starting at 11am and finishing around 3.30pm.

Judges are Christopher Coghill, Knockdee, and Willie Mackay, Biggins.

A charity auction in aid of Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance will take place at the steading at approximately 4.30pm. The auctioneer is Ian Macleay.

Last year’s match was held in chilly conditions at West Greenland Farm, Castletown, by permission of the Mackay family. Michael Mackay was again the overall winner.
