Melvich hosts Wild Night celidh night

MEMBERS of a popular band are to play at Melvich village hall as part of the Wild North Festival’s Ceilidh Night programme.

The little hall will be filled with music tomorrow (Saturday) night at 9pm as members from the well-known six-piece instrumental band, Clapshot, perform, although they have been known to burst into song at odd moments too.

The group, formed in 1999, mostly play Scots traditional tunes with a mixture of Irish and Cape Breton music and contemporary tunes in a traditional vein, so everyone that goes along is guaranteed a good night.
