The heart monitors have given Wick medical centre a technology boost.

WICK medical centre’s technology got a boost recently with a presentation of two events monitors.

The items were funded by Caithness Chest and Heart Support Group. The monitors, which are fitted to patients for a prescribed period, track any irregularities and the recordings are then fed into a computer.

They were accepted by practice nurses Jennifer Martin (seated, middle left), Mhari Swanson (middle right) and Laura Stewart (centre), all of whom will be responsible for the monitors.

Also pictured are the practice medical team and associated colleagues, among them Raigmore Hospital cardiologist Dr Stephen Leslie (back right), who was visiting the medical centre, along with chest and heart support group members. Photo: Noel Donaldson.
