Mystery police operation in Wick town centre





Police Scotland explained the nature of the operation in Wick town centre yesterday (October 14) that had some residents confused.

Several locals witnessed around six officers intensely searching around Boots the chemist, Ladbrokes shop and the former TSB bank on High Street.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland explained what had transpired: “This proved to be a false call – no further police action required. The search was just as a precaution.”
