Over 130 dancers take part in Easter competition at Wick





The Vikki Mackay School of Dance held its second annual Easter competition with entries from as far afield as Inveraray.

“We had 132 dancers entered across the day with ages ranging from 4 to 24,” said Vikki Mackay who runs the dancing school.

“Our judges were Audrey Watt from Macduff and Loraine Waddell from Forfar. Pipers on the day were Glenn and Morven Miller from Watten, and they were joined in the afternoon by drum sergeant Grant Lyall from Wick.

“Well done to all our primary dancers aged 4-6 who start the day off wonderfully and also to all our trophy winners in both morning and afternoon sessions.”

The competition was held at the East Caithness Community Campus in Wick on Saturday, April 12.
