Local drama group, Wick Players, says it is “putting community centre stage” and has donated 81 items of vintage clothing to Wick Heritage Museum.

Over the years Wick Players has accumulated a number of real vintage clothing items from the Victorian and Edwardian period. However, some of these items, due to their age, became delicate and unsuitable for wearing on stage in productions.

On April 5, club chairperson, Jenny Szyfelbain handed over a total of 81 items to Wick Society which runs the local museum. A 'Certificate of Transfer' was gifted to the Society along with these items and members of the local heritage group, Raymond Hill along with Elizabeth and Donald Henderson, received the clothing from Mrs Szyfelbain.

Prior to this, the Players also donated a collection of vintage clothing to Halkirk Heritage and Vintage Motor Society in 2022 upon the opening of its new heritage centre.
