Pictures and video: Meet Puffin Croft’s latest arrival, Dottie the blind lamb
A John O’Groats petting farm showed off one of its latest arrivals with Dottie the blind lamb and said it has many activities planned over Easter.
Puffin Croft is located on the outskirts of the Caithness village and run by Cara Young, who appeared in the Channel 5 documentary series called Ben Fogle: Make a New Life in the Country.
“Dottie is a little orphan lamb who was born prematurely on March 21,” said Cara.
“She is the cutest! She’s one of quads, the only one to survive and is blind.
“Dottie came from Sally Crowe’s farm, The Croft. Sally asked if I would be able to take her as she needs more care and time to help her. My hope is that she will become friends with Ray, my other blind sheep, and they can live together happily.”
Cara also shared a short video showing the moment her pet donkeys came out to their paddock at the front of Puffin Croft after spending winter indoors.
“They’re back at the front of the farm. If you want to hear the true herald to the end of winter, turn your volume up; this is quite the declaration,” added Cara.
Puffin Croft has lots of activities going on over Easter. There will be an Easter egg hunt, lucky dip, raffle, popcorn making station and much more.
The petting farm is open every day from 10am to 5pm.
