A larger-than-life rabbit in a brightly coloured costume was joined by an assortment of other visiting creatures at an Easter family fun day attended by residents, staff and guests at Pentland View care home in Thurso.
There was an eggs-tensive range of activities, from crafts and tasty treats to an egg hunt led by the Easter Bunny himself.
A small-animal petting experience was set up in the garden, courtesy of Caithness Animal Farm Park, where residents and guests could hold animals including a snake and a leopard gecko.
Thurso-based Dynamic Sounds provided a photo booth as well as a musical backdrop for the afternoon. Residents and guests danced and played party games, with the Easter Bunny joining in.
Activities coordinator Jeanine Sinclair said: “What a full day we had! We’re so grateful to everyone who came to make the day special for the residents.
“They do love watching the children enjoy themselves and they certainly enjoyed their cuddles with the animals. These events provide so much happiness for us all.
“Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.”
