Police issue appeal for information after motorcyclist seriously injured in crash in Highlands
Police officers have issued an appeal for information after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash near Lochinver.
The crash happened on the A837 at Skiag Bridge about 11.10am yesterday and involved a Fiat Ducato motorhome and a black and green Kawasaki motorbike.
The 37-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital.
The driver and passengers in the motorhome, three females, aged between one and 64, and two boys, aged three and seven, were also taken to hospital for treatment.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay, of the Dingwall road policing unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone who witnessed what happened or who saw either vehicle on the road prior to the crash to get in touch.
“We would be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 1066 of 9 August.”
