Prisoner from Wick faces assault charges

A Wick man appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday in connection with an incident at the city's Porterfield Prison.

Morgan Stubbings (23) made no plea to allegations of assault to severe injury, two further charges of assault and one of malicious damage.

He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
