Scottish Hydro stores to close in Thurso and Wick

THURSO and Wick are set to see a well-known name disappear from their high streets after it emerged Scottish Hydro Electric retail shops will close within the next six weeks.

SSE announced yesterday it is shutting its 37 stores across Scotland, including its premises at High Street in Wick and Olrig Street in Thurso.

Both stores are expected to close by May 16 although no exact date for Thurso and Wick has been announced.
