Thurso Rotary Club to host ‘book swap’ coffee morning

Thurso Rotary Club is hosting a “Book, Bun and Beverage” event to coincide with World Book Month next weekend.

The book swap and coffee morning will take place at the Pentland Hotel on Saturday, March 29, from 10am until noon.

It is hoped the event, to raise funds for local Rotary charities, will encourage recycling pre-owned and previously loved reading material.

Members of the public will be able to browse and swap children’s and adults’ books while enjoying a cuppa and hot cross bun with the slogan – RECYCLE/REUSE/REREAD.

The club hopes to encourage all to spring clean their bookcases and give new life to great books.
