WATCH: American real estate video looks inside $32m Dunbeath Castle
A glimpse inside Dunbeath Castle, along with spectacular drone footage of the surrounding estate, has been provided in an online video fronted by an American real estate agent.
The 10-minute YouTube film has the title "Inside a $32,000,000 Castle for Sale in Scotland" and has attracted some 4500 likes.
It is presented by Philip Wells and is based on a 48-hour visit to Caithness. He is a real estate agent in New York City with Compass.
In his profile, Mr Wells explains that he offers "tours of some of the best real estate in the world".
Dunbeath Estate and its 13-bedroom castle went on the market last summer with offers over £25 million being sought.

As well as the category "A" listed cliff-top castle, the sale includes 21 houses and cottages, a 500-acre farm, a pair of walled gardens, a deer forest, grouse moor and fishing rights.
In all it extends to some 28,500 acres.
In the commentary, Mr Wells points out that King Charles has fished for salmon on the Dunbeath estate. "If you're driving up Highway A9, you can't help but marvel at the castle perched on the cliff,” he says.
The estate and castle are being marketed by property agents Savills. The company has pointed to its "extensive peatland restoration opportunities", "diversified letting income" and "renewables and development potential".
Savills' Evelyn Channing said in June: “This sale represents an opportunity to acquire one of Scotland’s great castles and an estate in the Flow Country. At a time when there is great focus on the delivery of nature-based solutions to counter our climate emergency, the vast tracts of peatland on Dunbeath will undoubtedly stimulate much interest.”
Dunbeath Castle was listed in the top 10 most popular properties for sale in 2023 by property site Zoopla, saying it attracted people “dreaming of escaping to the Scottish Highlands”.
Zoopla said of the castle: “It sits in the most dramatic coastal setting just steps from the ocean and surrounded by its own 28,500 acres. The land is made up of beautiful walled gardens, grouse moor, deer forest, pheasant shoot, 12.5 miles of river and a 500-acre farm. Wow.”
