Wellbeing centre to open in Thurso offering pilates, massage and sauna
A new centre focused on wellbeing is set to open in Thurso on Saturday, April 26.
Based at Ormlie Industrial Estate, Revival has been founded by Oonagh Corcoran.
After months of development, the one-stop shop for wellbeing and recovery needs will be ‘the first of its kind’ in the area.
Oonagh, who graduated with an Honours Degree in Forensic Investigation in 2017, returned home to Caithness with her husband and set about establishing a successful business as a massage therapist.
Due to information from her clients, local football clubs she works with and her own experience of running and gym-based training, she became aware there was a need for more services in the county.

The new bespoke space will meet the needs of those who require recovery from training and competing in their sporting fields, general fitness, and people who can use these services for rehabilitation or complimentary to their medical health care.
With the space, people will still be able to access all the massage treatments Oonagh as previously offered from her original treatment room.
Alongside that, Oonagh will be teaching both mat and reformer pilates which aim to improve strength, core stability, balance, and mobility, all in a safe environment.
Oonagh said: “It caters for people with an interest in taking care of the one body we are given, looking after their physical and mental health in a supportive wellbeing environment.
“Living in the far North of Scotland can sometimes mean we are disconnected from certain facilities, and it was important to me to be able to give the community access to services which you would typically find further south.
“I am delighted to be able to finally open my Wellbeing Centre, Revival, and support people to recover effectively and prioritise their wellbeing. I feel we are in a time now where people are more inclined to focus on their physical and mental health, so it’s an exciting time to be in the wellbeing industry.”
Revival will also provide Contrast Therapy, which combines the use of cold therapy via cold plunges and heat therapy via Infrared Sauna.
Oonagh has self-funded the majority of Revival, with financial support from Business Gateway for some of the equipment within the space.
Along with the facilities and services offered by Oonagh, Revival is going to be the new home for Jasmine May Therapy.
