Wick branch of Specsavers 'proud of what has been achieved' in six years
An optician business is celebrating six years in Wick town centre with a special offer for customers and a colouring competition for children.
Specsavers opened in Bridge Street in 2016 and is owned by optometrist Ian Morris.
To mark the anniversary, customers who purchase a pair of glasses until September 10 will be entered into a draw with the winner refunded the cost of the specs they have purchased.
Meanwhile, kids can get a colouring sheet from Specsavers with all entries getting sweets, as well as prizes for the top two in the up to five years category and for those over five years old (one boy and one girl in each category).
During the company's six years in Wick, three staff have qualified as optometrists. The store was an Emergency Eyecare Treatment Centre (EETC) during the pandemic, and staff have undergone training in sign language, dementia and autism awareness.

Mr Morris said: "We are so proud of what we’ve achieved over the last six years. We serve customers across Wick and Caithness and have seen almost 19,000 patients since opening our doors, ensuring their eyes and ears are well cared for.
"The competition is our way of saying thank you to our customers for their support during this time."
