Wick Ladies’ Day Tipsy Tea Party raises almost £2400 for charity
The annual Ladies’ Day Tipsy Tea Party organised by MS People Caithness raised almost £2400 as guests gathered in stylish outfits with eye-catching headwear to match – and took the opportunity to have a little flutter on the horses.
The event in the Norseman Hotel, Wick, had a fun atmosphere throughout with cocktails, afternoon tea and singing from Lisa Douglas. The dance floor was never empty and lots of raffle prizes were on offer.
The winner of the best fascinator was Faith Campbell, while Caitlin Risbridger won the star prize.
The Scottish Grand National was streamed and the ladies were able to place bets.
Guests again had the opportunity to have their photos taken with a wreath made by local florist Jan Sutherland featuring the MS colours.
The total raised came to £2397.

Elaine Miller, one of the organisers, said she was overwhelmed by the generosity of those who had donated. The star prize was an overnight stay at Orchid Pods, in Lybster, donated by Dawn Turner.
Elaine added that all the money raised stays local. The group offers financial assistance and support to families affected by MS.
