A Wick man accused of a string of charges including some of a sexual nature has been found not guilty.
Sheriff David Harvie gave the formal verdict on Wednesday after fiscal depute Alison Young announced on the second day of the trial at Wick that the Crown was not leading further evidence.
The accused, Darren Wynne (53), of Cairndhuna Terrace, Wick, had denied the charges which included assault, sexual assault, sexual remarks, making indecent images of a child, possession of sexual photos, and possession of an unlicensed air gun.
The offences were alleged to have occurred at a house in rural Caithness between March 2014 and November 2020.
Advocate Alistair Sloan headed Wynne’s defence before a jury.
