Wick woman’s partner put plastic bag over her head

A Wick woman was shocked when her partner shouted at her and placed a plastic bag over her head, the town's sheriff court was told.
First offender Shannon McPhee (24) admitted the assault and was fined £300.

The incident occurred at her home in Harrowhill Road, Wick, on December 17, 2022.
Sheriff Neil Wilson heard that McPhee had "taken umbrage" to something personal her partner was discussing with a friend and put the "Tesco shopping bag for life" over her head for five seconds before she (the accused) removed it.
Fiscal Depute Grant McLennan said the woman was “shocked” by the incident.
The court was told that the accused's relationship with the woman had subsequently ended.
