Caithness Ladies got off to an ideal start in the 2025 SWF Highlands and Islands League with a 4-2 away victory over Sutherland.

Anna Foubister scored twice for Caithness in Sunday’s encounter at Golspie, with Carly Erridge and Kerrie Martin also on target.

Bethany Sutherland and Rachael Sutherland scored for the home side.

Caithness will be looking to build on that result when they welcome Clachnacuddin to the Dammies this Sunday, with a 2pm kick-off.

Last weekend’s result helped make up for the disappointment of Caithness Ladies’ 1-0 loss to Sutherland in the SWF Highlands and Islands League Cup semi-finals last season.

Main sponsor Scott Youngson (Hootnas/Comm) donated new matchday tracksuits, training tops and bags for the squad.

Buckie began with a comprehensive 8-0 win against Clach, while Orkney were 2-1 winners over Nairn St Ninian.
