Club stalwart Dougie takes Thurso squash trophy and says 'even ageing people like me can compete'
After a year of competition in the Thurso Squash Club mini-leagues, club stalwart Dougie Sinclair emerged as winner by amassing the most points.
Dougie won this trophy 25 years ago in 1997, then again in 2008. Now in his sixties, he has shown that he is still able to see off his rivals on the squash court.
He said: “It shows that even ageing people like me can compete and enjoy this great game.
"I am very pleased to have won the trophy again and would encourage folk of any age to keep active and take up squash, racketball or tennis, which is also available through membership of the club.”
Anyone interested in finding out more about membership, and what the club has to offer, can contact any member or message Thurso Squash, Tennis and Racketball Club via Facebook.
