Harper's overcome misfortunes to beat Keiss side in Wick darts league





This week's action in Wick and District Darts League saw Harper's overcome a series of misfortunes, with two players injured, to get the better of Keiss side Village Inn.

Rab Edwards notched a maximum for Harper's.

Seaforth won 6-2 at Castletown. Michael Campbell ended Geordie Bain's winning run.

Seaview are massive favourites after brushing aside Harper's "B".

Kara Sutherland and Freda Perry (Seaforth) won their singles against Comm but captain Raymond Gunn ensured the Lybster outfit got the victory.

Liam Miller's Smiddy "2" were relentless with a whitewash against Camps ladies.

Results – Division One: Seaview 6, Harper's "B" 2; Norseman 4, Smiddy Inn 4; Castletown 2, Seaforth 6; Harper's 5, Village Inn 3.

Division Two: Camps 0, Smiddy "2" 8; Smiddy "4" 1, Smiddy "3" 7; Comm 5, Seaforth 3.

There were maximums for Graham Crowe (Smiddy Inn), Alan Henderson (Castletown), Rab Edwards (Harper's), Michael Campbell (Seaforth) and Raymond Bremner (Smiddy "4").

Best checkouts were 112 from Richard Thain (Smiddy Inn) and 104 by Ryan Campbell (Seaforth).
